music for music lovers
In celebration of the kick-off of the newest version of my favorite music website, I figured I would share it with all of you. I guess it’s not that “indie,” to tell the masses about secret indie websites, but fuck it, you, my noble readers, are not the masses.
So if you, like me, are less than satiated by MTV and the radio, if you yearn (yes, yearn) for something a little more authentic, a little more creative, a little less… crappy, check out Pitchfork. It is a music site (reviews, features, etc.) for music lovers of all kinds (rock, folk, hip hop… not so much country or classical, but that’s ok).
Also, if you’re curious what music I listen to (so that you can get an idea of whether or not Pitchfork would be good for you), check out my Best Songs of 2004. Don’t be afraid if it’s not the music you already listen to, maybe it’s the music you should listen to!
PS: If you need another reasons to check out Pitchfork, recent Harvard alum and all-around good guy Jamin Warren writes hip hop album reviews for them.

Seeing as how you’re talking about music, I figured I would share some of mine: BBC Online Radio. It is AMAZING! They have more programmes than Jesus in every genre conceivable, and best yet, it’s all free. Booyah.
