So, I went to the first hour of tonight’s UC meeting. A few quick impressions:

- While I am biased (as I’ve previously discussed, Glazer is my roommate/best friend), I LOVE Matt’s new idea to go door to door for three hours every week so that he and Ian are in touch w/ students and students have a new point of contact.

- These kids are really smart and really hard-working. Whether it was Faraz (the Treasurer) explaining the budget, Lauren and Blake (CLC and FiCom Chairs) laying out their complicated grant scheme, or everyone having good questions and amendments to both, it became abundantly clear to me last night that this stuff is not hacky sack. I was sitting with a friend of mine and multiple times during the meeting, we looked at each other and shrugged, agreeing that we had no idea what was going on because it was way over our heads.

So, if you want to appreciate how hard the UC works and how efficient and smart they are, go to an hour of the meeting and see how much you can follow.
