Labor Day Special: What it’s like to work at Google.

A good friend of mine works at Google, and I can attest to the fact that this is really what it’s like.  I remember seeing a guy zipping through the halls of their New York office on a Razor scooter, passing the Lego play station in the lobby.

Another friend who works in venture capital is Silicon Valley told me VCs HATE google for these plush conditions.  They create, he told me, a risk adverse complacency among talented engineers that makes them less likely to throw caution to the wind, get VC funding, and try to make the next Google/Facebook/Youtube.

I suppose that’s the points.
